Hi, I’m Eeshani Godbole

I design and develop materials for extreme environments. My research focuses on ceramic coatings for high-temperature and corrosive environment applications in jet engines and gas turbines.


About

I’m a Research Scientist at GE Aerospace Research in Niskayuna, NY, where I develop advanced ceramic materials for commercial aircraft engines. My work involves understanding how environmental deposits affect engine component durability and developing solutions to extend engine life.

I earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where I worked with Dr. David Poerschke on thermal and environmental barrier coatings. I’m passionate about applying advanced materials characterization techniques including SEM, EDS, EPMA, and high-temperature in-situ X-ray diffraction.
